It’s hard to write about a film that should be seen without much prior information (same tip for those who want to watch Room)! I had only seen the trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane and I was very curious. I decided not to read anything else about it before going to the cinema, and it was a good decision.

I will limit myself to say that Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) suffers a car accident, wakes up and realizes that she’s tied up to a wall of an unknown location. In there, she has the company of Howard (John Goodman) and Emmett (John Gallagher Jr.). That’s it! From that point on, we are left with the same doubts as Michelle’s. We have the same amount of information she has, which makes the audience tense and curious to know what will happen and why she’s trapped in there in the first place.

The cast comes down to basically the three actors mentioned before and 90% of the plot takes place in an enclosed space in which Michelle is trapped. All this mystery and this atmosphere make the 103 minutes of film pass quickly, since we want to find out how it will end.

The last 15 minutes, however, disappointed me a little bit. I won’t spoil the end, of course, but I didn’t like it very much. I thought it could have been better… Anyway, if you like suspense and terror, you will like this movie too!
