A title like that and a heavy advertising campaign guided by “#whowillwin” suggest, at least, that there is a real and exciting clash between the characters. However, after 150 minutes of film, it is possible to conclude that the only winner is the studio, which has obtained a big box office, as viewers lost 2h30min of their time.

The movie begins with Metropolis destroyed and Superman (Henry Cavill) being touted as a threat by many, including Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). The latter, already as Batman, begins investigating Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) laboratory, who has the Kryptonite that could defeat Superman.

The film has so many secondary characters and parallel stories that gave the impression that several teenagers gathered in a room and each gave an idea of ??what should be included in the movie. The editing does not help at all, which makes the star cast is very poorly used.

I usually like Amy Adams, but she did not really convince me as Lois Lane. Perhaps the best was Jeremy Irons as Alfred. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill didn’t impress and Jesse Eisenberg, of whom I’m a fan, adopts some tics and speaks in a way that makes him more annoying than threatening.

More than half of the film is gone and finally we have the clash announced in the title. The reason is so primary that does not live up to the idea of ??rivalry or differences between the two. There is no ideological battle. It’s just a struggle motivated by something personal from Superman.

Anyway, the trailer is more interesting than the movie. And it is also clear that it is a set-up for the next film of the characters. We can only hope they are better than this. At least we have Captain America: Civil War next month that can finally show a decent battle between two heroes.

As always, I’ll leave you with some pictures of the red carpet.
